Due to the current operation of the CMCO, due to expire on 20.12.2020, the Unit Hakmilik Pendaftaran at PTG, Perak receives and processes, on a daily average, 250-330 presentations. Each legal firm is only permitted to make a maximum of 10 presentations per day – we are given to understand that a certain amount of leeway is granted to accommodate reasonable requests for additional presentations, on a case to case basis. This is to ensure that every firm is given an opportunity to make presentations. For firms having a large number of presentations, kindly contact the relevant Unit to make arrangements on this.

2.  Collection of titles using original receipts

This recent requirement is enforced with the reasoning that there have been instances where there has been more than 1 request for the collection of the same original title. This move is to ensure that the legal firm’s appointed representative is responsible for the collected title and to counter allegations of fraud/ lost title.

Mode of payment for presentations from 14.12.2020 – 31.12.2020

We have been informed that PTG is encouraging all legal firms to make payments by cash, credit or debit cards for the above period due to the process of closing their accounts for the year-end.
