RE: INCREASE IN RATE OF TAX UNDER THE SERVICE TAX ACT 2018 EFFECTIVE 1ST MARCH 2024.

Members are to take note that with reference to the announcement made by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (“Customs”), the Service SST (“SST”) rate under the Service Tax Act 2018 will increase from 6% to 8% effective 1st March 2024. Kindly refer to the Malaysian Bar Circular No. 067/2024 and 078/2024.
