To all Members of the Perak Bar,

The Perak Bar Committee is aware of the issues faced by the Members regarding the services of Interpreters not being available during Trial at the Courts.
 
Recently, representatives from the Perak Bar Committee had a meeting with the Court representatives to convey the concerns raised by Members regarding the above.
 
We had been informed by the Courts that Members could officially write to the Courts to obtain services of the Interpreters for the purposes to assist witnesses during Trial / Hearing.
 
We are further informed that Members should put in their request two (2) weeks before the Trial / Hearing is held to enable the Court to arrange for an Interpreter to be available during the Trial / Hearing.
 
The written request can be addressed to Puan Azuratul Akmar Binti Abdul Ghafar (Penolong Pendaftar Mahkamah Rendah, Ipoh).
 
Members are welcome to channel their complaints/ concerns/ problems/ suggestion when dealing with either authority and we shall attend to the same. Kindly direct it to [email protected] .
