Invitation to Attend National Legal Aid Foundation (NLAF) Training
Part One and Two
11 May 2024 (Saturday) | 9:00 am to 6:00 pm | at Perak Bar Auditorium

 

The NLAF/YBGK is a foundation that funds lawyers to do legal aid work in criminal matters.  
We are pleased to invite lawyers to attend Part One and Two of the training.
Content of Training:
(1) Part One — NLAF/YBGK Administration
(2) Part Two — Arrest, Remand, Bail and Mitigation

There will be a written assessment at the end of Part One and Two of the training. 
 
Lawyers who wish to do work for the NLAF/YBGK are required to attend both Part One and Two of the training, as well as pass this written assessment. Please note that CPD points will only be awarded to those who attend the training in full, and pass the written assessment.
 
This programme is sponsored by the NLAF and all lawyers who attend the training are required to do some amount of  work for the NLAF/YBGK  after the training.
 
This training is open only to lawyers who have been in practice for a minimum of one year.
 
Only 20 places are available and registration is on a first come and first served basis. This training is free of charge, but advance registration is required.

Please note that due to unforeseen reasons, the training which was initially scheduled on 20 April 2024, has been postponed to a new date. i.e. 11 May 2024 (Saturday).
 
Those who have registered previously, will be automatically included in this training session.
 
Registration will close at 12:00 p.m., on 26 April 2024. No additional registration will be accepted after the closing date and/or if  we have the required 20 participants whichever is earlier.
