RE : PARKING FOR MEMBERS OF THE BAR AT TAIPING, PERAK
We refer to the above matter.
The Perak Bar Committee noted the recent predicaments faced by Members trying to find parking near Taiping Court Complex as a result of more parking lots in the area are converted into petak khas for Land Office.
- The Perak Bar Committee, through our Northern Representative, Mr. Ng Wei Jun has taken the initiative to write to the Taiping Municipal Council (“MPT”) to highlight the issue and we have requested to be provided with 8 parking lots (petak khas) to be granted to Members being officers of the Court .
- The MPT has in their reply suggested for us to make applications for parking pass under the category of government servants at the parking rate and terms already fixed. A copy of the reply of the MPT dated 2nd October 2024 is enclosed for Members’ attention.
- Upon further confirmation, we are made to understand that the parking rate for this suggested category will be RM30.00 only per month as compared to the normal monthly pass that is at a rate of RM60.00 per month.
- Interested members are required to fill up the form as attached and submit the same to MPT along with a copy of the car’s grant under Member’s name and a copy of the MPT’s reply.
- We hope this arrangement will help to alleviate the parking issues faced by our Members attending to matters in Taiping Court.
