Perak Bar’s 60th Anniversary Annual Dinner (Term 2024/2025)

The Perak Bar celebrated a remarkable milestone with its 60th Anniversary Annual Dinner, organised by the Social, Charity, and Members’ Welfare Sub-Committee (Social Com), spearheaded by Elaine Foong, and held on 23rd November 2024 at the prestigious Weil Hotel, Ipoh. The evening was nothing short of spectacular, bringing together esteemed guests, members, and well-wishers for a night of camaraderie, entertainment, and celebration. The evening’s theme, The Great Gatsby, saw many attendees turn up in stunning outfits that perfectly embodied the glitz and glamour of the era.

The event was graced by esteemed VIPs, including YB Kulasegaran, Deputy Minister for Law & Institutional Reform in the Prime Minister’s Department, Justice Dato’ Bhupindar Singh A/L Gurcharan Singh Preet, and Justice Moses Susayan. Notably, for the first time, all the Office Bearers of the Malaysian Bar, led by its President, Mr. Mohamad Ezri Abdul Wahab, were in attendance. Their presence added immense prestige to the evening, underscoring the strong camaraderie and unity within the legal fraternity.

The event featured an enthralling in-house performance by the talented Preetpiare Kaur and Noor Faizeen, setting the stage for an evening filled with excitement. The highlight of the night was a sensational stand-up comedy act by the renowned Harith Iskander, who had the audience in stitches for almost 50 minutes with his sharp wit and humor.
