RE : INVITATION TO ATTEND AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE PERAK BAR LAW CONFERENCE 2025

Warm greetings from Perak Bar.

We are pleased to announce that the Perak Bar will be organising its inaugural Law Conference, themed “Law Unplugged: Real Talk on Real Practice”, which aims to foster open, practical, and thought-provoking dialogue on the real-world challenges and insights of legal practice in Malaysia.

This full-day conference will bring together judges, members of the Bar, academicians, and legal professionals to candidly explore the evolving landscape of law and the realities practitioners face in and out of courtrooms.

Conference Details: –

• Date      : 11 October 2025 (Saturday) 
• Time     : 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
• Venue   : Hotel 1969 (Jalan Kampar, Ipoh, Perak)
• Fee       : RM200.00 for Members of the Perak Bar & Pupils in chamber
               : RM 260.00 for Non Perak Bar Members

In line with the Conference’s objective to encourage thought leadership within the legal fraternity, we are extending an open call for paper submissions from our Perak Bar members who wish to contribute intellectually to this important discourse.

We invite interested members to submit original papers on topics relevant to legal practice in Malaysia which may include but are not limited to courtroom experiences, litigation strategies, ethics, professional challenges, reform suggestions, or unique insights gained through years in practice.

Important Note:

• Papers should be submitted to the Perak Bar Secretariat via the Google Form attached herein latest by 15 July 2025 (Thursday) click here
• Papers selected by the Organising Committee will be considered for inclusion in the Conference programme, and selected authors may be invited to present or share insights during the Conference. A presentation slot of 20 minutes will be provided.

We believe this is a unique opportunity for members of the legal profession to share knowledge, elevate discourse, and inspire the younger generation of lawyers and students.
