RE : FROM THE CHAIRMAN’S DESK: PERAK BAR COMMITTEE TERM 2026-2027

Salam Ramadhan and Salam Berpuasa to all our brothers and sisters of the Bar who are observing this holy month. May this sacred time bring you peace, reflection, and strength.

The Perak Bar Committee extends our sincere gratitude to all members who attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 13th February 2026. The meeting was well attended, and we truly appreciate the active participation and engagement from our members.

We are pleased to inform you that the portfolios for all Sub-Committees for the current term have now been finalised and duly assigned to the respective Committee members.

Our Committee is committed to serving the needs and interests of all members i.e rural and urban practitioners, those in litigation and conveyancing, as well as members who are senior in practice and those newly admitted to the Bar. We recognise the diverse challenges faced across different practice areas and localities, and we are dedicated to providing support, guidance, and assistance wherever needed.

Members are encouraged to reach out directly to the respective Sub-Committee members should you have any queries, issues, proposals, or matters requiring attention. We welcome engagement and look forward to working closely with all of you to strengthen the profession and to ensure that your interests remain our priority.

Further, we strongly encourage all Members to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Malaysian Bar scheduled for 14 March 2026. For further details, please refer to Malaysian Bar Circular No. 056/2026. Should there be sufficient demand, we will make arrangements to organise transportation, including buses, to assist Members in attending the Annual General Meeting.
