The Perak Bar Committee is aware of the extreme limitations imposed by the authorities concerned relating to the number of presentations that are allowed per day. Attempts have been made to engage the relevant parties prior to            re-opening of operations at PTG on 1.7.2021 regarding the plans for daily presentations but the efforts have been unsuccessful. Recently on the 5.7.2021, representatives from the Perak Bar Committee and Conveyancing Sub Committee met with Tuan Emy Sazri ( Timbalan Pengarah, Bahagian Pendaftaran ) and also En Ahmad Suqairy ( Pendaftar, Bhg Pendaftaran) to convey our serious concerns on the limited number of daily presentations that were being allotted since 1.7.2021. To date, we are notified that all presentations have to be made via an online appointment at the PTG website ( QR code). No walk-in presentations will be entertained. Members will be informed of the appointment date by them. For the moment, daily presentations are capped at a mere 40, with a maximum of 5 presentations per firm. We shall continue to endeavour to liaise with the authorities to increase the daily quota to a more reasonable figure. We are further informed that a waiver of penalties  ( where applicable – in respect of instruments of dealing which have expired during the MCO period ) will be given on or up to 31.7.2021 – however, a requisite form has to be filled and submitted for this purpose and the approval of the Pendaftar for such a waiver will have to be first obtained. Kindly also take note of the limited time for counter operations ie. 8.30am – 1.00pm ( Mondays to Thursdays) and 8.30am – 12.30 pm ( Fridays) .

For members info, the Bar Council Conveyancing Sub Committee is in the midst of preparing to issue  a letter to all state PTGs ( which will also be directed to the relevant land offices), highlighting the various similar issues which are being faced across the board and drawing the attention of the authority to the problems faced by members due to the restrictive actions in place now.

Members are advised to refer to the LHDN website for recent updates on dealings with same – in particular, extension has been given until 31.7.2021 for filing of CKHT forms/ payment of RPGT where the time period falls within the MCO period.
