RE : FOLLOW UP ON THE SPECIAL TASK FORCE BY PTG & IMPLEMENTATION OF E-TEMUJANJI

To all members of the Perak Bar,

Members are to take note of the following matters which were brought up at a meeting with PTG officials recently:

1. The Perak Bar Committee was informed at the meeting that a total number of 11,395 presentations were received for the period 1.11.2021 until 29.11.2021 by the Special Task Force which was formed by PTG to address and cater for the need for increased number of daily presentations to be made available for members of the Bar for registration purposes.

2. It was noted that for the month of November 2021, PTG has accepted all walk-in presentations without the imposition of daily quota and this has resulted in a successful process for all member firms to present their instrument of dealings without the need for appointment.

3. The Committee is informed that this walk-in presentations without limit will continue to be in force until 10.11.2021 and thereafter, effective 13.12.2021 all presentations will be managed via the e-temujanji system which will be on the PTG portal. Therefore, all members are informed to fully utilise the time available for walk-in presentations.

4. PTG officials have informed that the e-temujanji is made available from 1.12.2021 and each firm is allowed to book a slot up to a maximum of 30 presentations per day. Kindly ensure that only instruments of dealings which are ready for presentation is actually taken into account when booking a slot so as not to waste allocations which could be utilised by other member firms. Do take note that the total number of daily presentations accepted by PTG for e-temujanji will be 350.

5. The last operational date for PTG to accept presentations will be 28.12.2021 up to 10.00 am . Members are encouraged to pay registration fee by cash/ debit/ credit card effective 13.12.2021 until 28.12.2021.

6. Members having bulk / high volume instruments of dealings for presentation are advised to liase directly with PTG officials to arrange for same, as is presently being done.

The Conveyancing Sub Committee welcomes all suggestions and views in relation to conveyancing matters and we extend our well wishes to members to continue staying safe as we approach the end of a challenging 2021 and to ushering 2022 with renewed hope for success and good health.
