To members of the Perak Bar and Pupils in Chambers,    

From the calls and emails which I received after our Prime Minister’s announcement on 1st May, I admit that members are divided whether to operate firm or not. Whether the glass is half full or half empty, depends on your view. Perak Bar accepts member’s decision either way.

However, for those who decided to open office, please comply the guidelines from the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department and our state government media announcement dated 3rd May 2020. Members are also required to register at https://notification.miti.gov.my .

As what I stressed in my earlier note, safety of members is more important and do take precautional steps. I urge members not to rush to open office. Please make all necessary arrangements to implement the SOPs.

We have gathered quotations on sanitising treatments and gadgets and posted on our website. Members are advised to make proper inquires.
