RE : CIRCULAR- SEXUAL HARASSMENT TRIBUNAL

As the Social, Welfare, and Charity Subcommittee Chairperson of the Perak Bar, I am pleased to inform members that a Sexual Harassment Tribunal has been established at the national level presided by the Klang Sessions Court judge Pn. Syafeera Said, along with other experienced judicial and legal officers.

The primary objective of this tribunal is to address and redress cases of sexual harassment.

We recognise the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment for all members of the Perak Bar, including pupils in chambers.

Therefore, we at the Perak Bar Committee urge any member of the Perak Bar who has experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, particularly within the legal profession, to come forward and inform us.

Your confidentiality will be strictly maintained throughout the process. We understand the sensitivity of these matters and assure you that your information will be handled discreetly and with the utmost respect.

Please feel free to reach out to the Perak Bar Secretariat, or to any one of the Perak Bar Committee members whom you feel comfortable to address such issues, to provide your information or seek further assistance.
