The Perak Bar is pleased to invite all interested members to join the Criminal Practice & Human Rights Sub-Committee. This Sub-Committee seeks to enhance and promote the protection of human rights and address critical issues within criminal law practice.

Key Areas of Participation:

1. Urgent Arrest and Protection Unit: Members of this unit will be responsible for providing legal representation to vulnerable individuals who face immediate threats, that involves violations of their rights by providing immediate representation. This initiative ensures timely legal intervention to safeguard the rights of individuals during critical situations.
2. Contributing to Law Amendments: The Sub-Committee will actively engage in reviewing and providing inputs on proposed amendments to laws affecting human rights. Your expertise and insights are crucial in shaping the future of these laws.
3. Addressing Issues Faced by Criminal Practitioners: We will focus on highlighting challenges encountered by practitioners in criminal law and exploring ways to improve the practice and the justice system to ensure fair and just outcomes for all.
