RE : FROM THE CHAIRMAN’S DESK 1/25-26 : PERAK BAR COMMITTEE  TERM 2025-2026

Salam Ramadhan and Salam Berpuasa to all our brothers and sisters of the Bar who are observing this holy month. May this sacred time bring you peace, reflection, and strength.

The Perak Bar Committee extends our sincere gratitude to all members who attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 13th February 2024. The meeting was well attended, and we truly appreciate the active participation and engagement from our members.

At the AGM, a significant motion was passed, allowing the Perak Bar Committee to actively seek out a new, larger property to house the State Bar Secretariat. In line with this, we invite all members to inform us of any suitable properties available in the town of Ipoh for our consideration. We will assess potential locations and make recommendations to the Malaysian Bar accordingly.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Official Perak Bar WhatsApp Group. This platform has been established strictly for the dissemination of legal and Bar-related matters and will be moderated accordingly. Should any member have legal or court-related queries or information to share, we encourage you to send them to one of the moderators. Upon review and consideration, the chat may be opened temporarily to allow members to provide their input on a case-to-case basis.

We look forward to serving the Perak Bar community in the term ahead and working together towards the continued growth and betterment of our Bar.
