RE: INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MALAYSIAN BAR WATCHING BRIEF AND AMICI CURIAE TEAM 2026 (APPLICATION DEADLINE: 22 MAY 2026)

Please be informed that the Malaysian Bar has, vide Circular No. 135/2026 dated 24 April 2026, invited Members of the Bar to participate in the Malaysian Bar Watching Brief and Amici Curiae Team 2026.

The Malaysian Bar regularly holds watching briefs and appears as amicus curiae in matters involving issues of public interest, criminal proceedings, and cases concerning significant questions of law before courts throughout Malaysia. In light of the increasing number of such matters, the Malaysian Bar is presently seeking to expand its pool of counsel willing to serve in this capacity.

In this regard, members of the Perak Bar who are interested in participating are encouraged to submit their applications directly to the Malaysian Bar in accordance with the instructions set out in the said Circular here.
