RE: ESTABLISHMENT OF THE PERAK BAR MEDIATION CENTRE (PBMC)

The Perak Bar Committee is pleased to announce that, at its meeting on 5 May 2026, it has approved the establishment of the Perak Bar Mediation Centre (PBMC). We are also pleased to inform members that Mr. S. V. Namasoo has been appointed as the Director of the Perak Bar Mediation Centre.

In conjunction with the establishment of the PBMC, we are planning to organise a “Mediation Awareness Day”, a half-day programme scheduled for 10 July 2026 (venue to be confirmed). The objective of this event is to enhance awareness, appreciation and understanding of mediation, particularly among legal practitioners and the business community.

To support the successful organisation of this event, we have invited Accredited Mediators within the Perak Bar to serve on the Organising Committee. The Committee will be responsible for programme development, coordination of speakers, publicity efforts and logistical arrangements.

This is an excellent opportunity for members to contribute to the growth of mediation practice while working collaboratively with fellow practitioners.
